Hutton Lakes National Wildlife Refuge

Hutton Lakes NWR is near Laramie.  The water level on the lakes was low.  Check out the interesting clouds.

Air Force Academy-Colorado

At noon the Cadets gathered in front of their residence halls to march to the dining hall. Also, the band played and the "colors" were presented.  It was an impressive site.

 

 

 We fortunate to be able to see visit some of the Cadet areas not open to the public because we had a connection with one of the professors.  One of those areas was the dining hall.  Approximatley 4000 Cadets are served family style by an "army of servers", eat and exit in 25 minutes.  The dining hall is about 2 acres in size. 

 

Snow in Monument, CO

Snow fell in Monument, CO (I 25 north of Colorado Springs) on May 1 which is unusual. We enjoyed watching it snow while we were in our warm "home on wheels".

In the evening and overnight it snowed more
