South Llano River State Park, Junction, TX

The park is a great place for birding.  At one of the four bird blinds we saw a Blue Grossbeak, Painted Bunting, Black-throated Sparrow, Black-crested Titmouse, Inca Dove, White-winged Dove, and Brown-headed Cowbird..  While walking on one of the trails we also saw a Vermillion Flycatcher.

LBJ State Park, Stonewall, TX

On April 1 we arrived at LBJ State Park.  We volunteered here January thru March of 2015.  Refer to those months in our blog for more photos.

We will be volunteering here (Bill at the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm and Susan at the Visitor Center) until the end of June.  The Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush were still in bloom and other wildflowers will start to appear soon.
