Wayside Farm & Dairy-Wayside, WI

The family of our project manager owns the Wayside Dairy and we were invited to tour their farm and dairy.  Wayside is about 20 miles south of Green Bay.

The day we visited they were cutting alfalfa hay.

Door County Wisconsin

Door County is in the upper part of the peninsula that is east of Green Bay.  Surrounded by water, the county's 300 miles of shoreline comprise nearly 20% of Lake Michigan's 1,600 miles of shoreline.  We enjoyed several hours in Door County but did not see the entire place.  It was beautiful and worth a return trip.

Fish Creek is one of the popular communities

Holiday Music Motel
We enjoyed staying at this retro 50's motel. It's actually one of Door County's top ranked places to stay.  During annual song writing festivals hundreds of songs are collaboratively written and recorded onsite.

Dorchester, WI

The Annual Dorchester Days was held June 19-21.  We went for a while the afternoon of the 21st.

Dorchester has a very nice City Park which includes a memorial to the SS Dorchester, camping, tennis, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, biking, walking path and lake.

SS Dorchester that honors more than 600 men who died on the ship in WW II.

The campground has large sites and nice trees.
