When we were volunteers at this historic site two summers ago we took a lot of pictures of the site and the surrounding area. They are still on our blog in the 2011 section.

This is the view of the Old Homestead area at the historic site that we see from our RV spot.
We've seen animals and birds from our RV site:
Mule Deer
Chipmunk
Northern Flicker
and a squirrel "stealing" bird seed
Bill is also portraying a guard this time - he has been given the name "Texas Slim"
