Mackinac Island, MI

There were beautiful views of Mackinac Bridge and Mackinac Island on a 15 minute ferry ride from Mackinaw City to the Island.  The Round Island Lighthouse is near the dock.  We spent the afternoon on the island.

Fort Mackinac is on top of the hill

Mackinac Island  has no motorized vehicles (except for a police car and ambulance).  The mode of transportation is by foot, bicycle, horse or horse drawn buggies.

We took an enjoyable and interesting Carriage Tour of the island on two different carriages (2 horse and 3 horse).  We stopped at the Surrey Museum and Arch Rock.

Grand Hotel is a famous landmark.

If you are staying at Grand Hotel, this is your taxi.
